Trumpets will be holding a series of workshops in preparation for the re-launching of First Name (the Philippines first ever Broadway style Filipino Gospel musical). There will be NO AUDITIONS for the show but the cast will be chosen from the pool of workshoppers.

The workshops are invitational only. (If you would like to be invited, please ask a Trumpets member to endorse you.) For those of you who have already received an invitation to join (yes you, wildkeets!), please check out the posted schedules below to see if you are available for them. Workshop slots are limited, so priority will be given to those with no conflicts.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Aug. 20 (Mon) 10am-1pm
Aug. 21 (Tue) 10am-1pm
Aug. 22 (Wed) 10am-1pm
Aug. 23 (Thu) 10am-1pm
Aug. 24 (Fri) 10am-1pm
Aug. 25 (Sat) 9am-1pm
Aug. 27 (Mon) 10am-1pm
Aug. 28 (Tue) 10am-1pm
Aug. 29 (Wed) 10am-1pm
Aug. 30 (Thu) 10am-1pm

Venue will be Dance Arts Studio in Mandaluyong.
(I'll post the address when I get it)

The workshops will involve training in dance, movement, acting, percussions, and of course the Bible since all the stories in First Name come from that Book. Should you be chosen from the workshoppers to be part of the cast, Rehearsals will be in the month of September also with the 10am schedule.

The show will run in October and November (minimum of 30 performances). Weekday shows will be 10am and 2pm while weekend shows will be 2pm and 7pm. Please consider if you will be free for this schedule because like I said earlier, "priority will be given to people with no conflicts."

huhuhu :'( school school school... Schedule conflict :( sana po mabago pa yung sked... kasi po most of us have school.. so baka hindi po kami pwede pag may morning rehearsals and shows :( waaaah...

hey tito joel.. can i just attend workshops.. pero i wont go for the play.. i think i can make it for FIVE meetings.. hahah :D
since wala daw kaming class on aug.20 & 27.. and i have no classes on wed. and sat :)

yeah, dj. that's perfectly fine. the venue will be dance arts studio in mandaluyong. not that far from stand. if you haven't been there, i'll try to get the exact address first.

The venue is called Dance Arts Studio. From edsa turn to shaw boulevard (the side where Star Mall is, NOT the Shang side). keep going down it until you see the Cherry Foodorama grocery on the left (there's also a Jollibee in front of it). On the right side of the road there's a chinese restaurant called Lucky Star. You will turn right at that street (I think it's called Pilar St. but i'm not 100% sure). That's already the street of Dance Arts. It's about 2 blocks from Shaw boulevard, and it will be on the left side. It looks like a 70's house that's one floor only. See where all the cars are parked.

Bring a Bible, a small notebook, and wear rehearsal clothes and shoes (as in don't come in heels or flipflops!!)
